The bakelite ring 16.25 cm. in diameter

For determining the relative
conductivity of thin layers of material consisting of cylindrical slab
of Brass 11 cms. in diameter and 12mm. thick. On theis rests a 45mm deep
hollow cylinder brass N. P. of same diameter with inlet and outlet tubes
for Steam. Both the cylinders have radial holes for insertion of
thermometers. The material under test is placed between two cylinders.
The apparatus is suspended by strings attached to the lower cylinder

Specifications Bed: The bed is made from , twin precision round tracks held in strong supports with levelling screws. The bars are ot an ample cross section and one of the bar is graduated in mm. Sliders Four sliders are machined Geometric fit on the tracks and are machined plane on the upper surface to ensure correct vertical fitting of the pillars.
